MAGDA LEIRIA

A qualified architect with fifteen years´ experience in both Portugal and Angola. Since moving to England two years ago, she has had her qualifications recognised by the ARB and has become a chartered member of RIBA. She is currently looking for an opportunity to develop her knowledge as an architect in the UK.  She is dynamic and creative, taking a conceptual approach to new projects, from initial sketching through to completion of all the RIBA stages.

During this time as an architect, she has worked in various sectors including education, courts, prisons, healthcare, residential and commercial services as well as transport. In the United Kingdom, she has worked for Victoria Holland Architects with a focus on private residential character buildings, and as a project manager for DART, an enterprise whose work focused on corrective treatments in the event of property disasters such as fire and flooding.

Experienced architect with a broad portfolio of planning and design services, spanning more than a decade of work and research and covering the national and international markets. Previous projects have taken inspiration from and shown a sensitivity towards the locality and environment, expressing respect and giving color to the city. Sustainability, carbon-zero materials, Passive House (saving energy and natural resources), and other ways to improve the way we build are the main focus of her projects.
