Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a marketing team of 4 reporting into a marketing manager. The client is a global architecture practice that works on range of architectural sectors in the EMEA region. They have studio of around 100 – architects, interior designers, urban designers and support functions.

You will be responsible for curating the vision working with the marketing manager to promote key projects across all sectors to widen their presence to ultimately win new clients and business. You will responsible for curating impactful and strategic bids with the support of the local and global team. Alongside delivering bid documents – you’ll be working on EOIs, PQQs and case studies.

The client uses external PR agencies only when access to key connections/journalists is required bring all comms in-house ideally. The brand and tone have been set, the foundations of projects, topics of conversations are all there and they require a candidate to drive great marketing, bids and graphical content. If however, you have a strength in marketing or graphics or bids, you’ll be able to specialise.

This would suit a marketing/bids profile who is looking for the autonomy of in-house, be able to focus on the built environment, specifically architecture and interiors. A key aspect is looking at external trends to bring a wide and culturally rich overview to inform the team of what is happening outside the realm of property.

The role mixes bids, marketing, comms (internal and external) award submissions, events, design and graphics, responsible for the day-to-day running of communications. Successful candidates are those who enjoy exploring, culture, are curious about what’s going on in the world and what is relevant. They are a friendly, relaxed and professional team, comfortable in having robust and dynamic conversations.

Skills and experience

  • Strong writing of editorial/bid and marketing content
  • 2+ years experience in Marketing/Bids/Communications experience in the built environment
  • Proof-reading skills
  • Ability to manage time and to work to deadlines managing multiple projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Able to work within a team, and across architecture teams
  • Strong communication – verbal and written
  • Agile to move with the demands of a changing architecture studio and business needs

Candidates who are have an appetite to learn quickly and have access to local and global knowledge, resource would be suitable. This is a great role for a profile looking to widen their marketing knowledge in architecture and work with creatives.

Office location

Central London

The office policy is 3/4 days in the studio 1/2 wfh.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
