Job Description

Office Manager required to join our busy Architectural Practice in Central Bristol.

WH Architects are a small Architectural Practice based in Kingsdown, Bristol delivering exciting projects predominantly to the South-West of England and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Office Manager. This includes general practice management, marketing and PR, project administrative support and general premises management. You will be instrumental in the smooth running of the Practice.

The role is varied, and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • General office admin including dealing with, suppliers, insurances, subscriptions etc.
  • Managing incoming emails, post and phone calls
  • Liaison with external IT support, assisting with basic setup and maintenance of computer systems.
  • Ensuring that the Practice complies with Health and Safety and Chartered Practice obligations.
  • Assisting members of the Team with project start documents and compilation of basic reports.
  • Assist with the submission and monitoring of Planning Applications
  • Management of social media accounts and updates to Linkedin, Instagram etc
  • Assist with marketing initiatives
  • Assist with website updates
  • Organisation of office events
  • Organisation of CPD sessions and staff training


Required skills

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Previous experience in Practice Management role advantageous but not essential.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills
  • High standard of written and spoken English.


The role is full time, part time working will be considered. Timings and days are flexible, with the potential for some home working although minimum 3 days working in the office to support other staff members. Salary to reflect experience.
