Job Description

ABW Architects are looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant to join their team.

 

Our practice works with mid to large-scale jobs across the North-west of England. We have a broad range of projects, ranging across educational, student accommodation, residential, and commercial sectors. We are seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant to work as part of a team with a varied design workload in our Liverpool City Centre office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on the production of working drawing packages
  • Document control and organisation within projects
  • Research around products, standards, and legislation
  • Communicating within the ABW team in order to resolve design and technical issues
  • Learning and developing within the professional environment
  • Contributing to the positive team environment within the practice
  • Attending meetings and site visits as part of a team as necessary

 

Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including 2D and 3D software capabilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and a developing knowledge of Revit
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to communicate ideas using hand sketches, CAD drawings, and 3D Visualisation
  • Desire to become familiar with UK Building Regulations
  • Appetite to learn about how buildings are constructed
  • Good organisational, communication, and presentation skills

 

Additional Information:

  • Salary of £24,000-£26,000
  • 25 days annual leave not including bank holidays
