The English Listed is a vibrant design and build architectural practise which specialises in designing, extending and renovating historic buildings. We have over 20 years experience within the residential sector and we also accept commercial commissions such as hotels. From the renovation of a grade ll listed townhouse to the design of a contemporary extension to the production of the highest quality joinery, we breathe new life into the fabric and interiors of a building. We are seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join our growing practise to work on a range of exciting bespoke projects from initial building survey through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to develop your knowledge and skills in the construction industry with support from a welcoming and collaborative team. We are offering the opportunity to engage with the latest construction techniques including the ability to visit and learn on our dynamic building sites with the latest sustainable building techniques and materials. We also have a specialist joinery workshop and full support will be given to the successful candidate to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the methods and materials that are used to create our exquisite hand-crafted windows, doors and other joinery.

A minimum of 3 years current experience with creating 3D models in Revit

Be able to create conceptual yet sympathetic design options to historic buildings.

An understanding of construction techniques is preferred but training can be given

Personable and enthusiastic

A good team player and able to take ownership of work and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills with a high level of spoken and written English

Able to work on multiple projects with effective time management skills

Ideally graphical presentation skills - rendering, Photoshop, Indesign

Awareness of UK planning and building regulations

UK driving licence required

Assisting in measured surveys of sites and generating a 3D Revit model of the building as existing to a very high level of accuracy

Working with our team to create Revit models of proposals to present to clients

Preparing drawings and written documents for planning consent, building control approval and tender documents

Creating construction details and maintaining an up to date detail library

Preparing joinery details and drawings

Supporting project managers on site with details and layouts. Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities

General office duties as required
