Female architecture students are significantly more likely to drop out before qualifying than their male counterparts, according to new data
An AJ poll of more than 400 UK-based students showed that only 68 per cent of the women who responded remained keen to qualify, compared with 77 per cent of male students.
Across the board, the data revealed a sizeable drop-out figure, with a marked proportion (roughly a fifth) of all those who had originally wanted to become architects at the beginning of their studies giving up on those dreams as they progressed though university
