Job Description
Are you looking for a new hand’s on architectural role with greater responsibility, then look no further!
Our client provides a full range of architectural planning, design and construction services to domestic and commercial clients.
The award winning company boasts an excellent portfolio of exciting residential projects, including both one-off new builds and larger developments. As a practice, they also work in other sectors including education, commercial as well as Historic Buildings.
This role is perfect for an Architect/Architectural Technician with experience in all RIBA stages and a fantastic opportunity to join an RIBA Chartered Practice in the South Downs National Park.
The right person for the job will require:
- A full driving licence and have your own vehicle
- A positive & friendly attitude that will contribute to the continued growth of the practice
- Have at least RIBA II qualifications or CIAT equivalent.
What your role will look like:
You will be responsible for your own design & construction projects based in our Storrington studio, liaising with clients, consultants & contractors directly and reporting to the directors. Many Architects & technicians do not achieve their full potential working in a larger team with no direct contact with their clients & consultants, however Folkes Architects pride themselves in training their staff to be able to take direct responsibility for their decisions and manage their own time & projects, with the support of their co-workers and directors. They work as a tight-knit team and everyone draws upon each other’s experience. Folkes Architects will offer CPD sessions on a regular basis and there will be opportunities to discuss furthering your training. Annual reviews are held so that they can discuss progress and development & opportunities to advance within the company.
Should your CV be successful, you will be invited to bring a portfolio in for an interview & to meet the team
What you can expect in return:
20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (with additional time off over Christmas & New Year)
Paid Professional Association Fees
Car Parking Permit included
Friendly & relaxed working environment in a Grade II listed building in the small town of Storrington
