Would you like to get involved in highly sustainable, original, crafted projects in beautiful rural locations?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified, experienced Landscape Architect to join our team. Austin Design Works is a multidisciplinary practice of Chartered Architects and Landscape Architects, based in the picturesque town of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. We specialize in original, crafted and carefully-considered design responses to projects across all sectors.
Our projects include private residential, gardens and public realm design, community spaces and heritage sites; from concept to construction package preparation; planting design; LVIA and integrated landscape planning for bespoke housing developments and play schemes. Our work focusses on ecological based solutions to climate change, building community and improving wellbeing through design.
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic team member to deliver bespoke Landscape Architectural projects throughout all work stages. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of leading projects in all stages including construction contract administration, tendering and winning jobs.
Essential:
- A minimum of 3 years’ Post Graduate/Masters experience
- Great communication skills to be able to quickly build rapport with our clients, consultants, contractors and planners
- Excellent written English
- Drawing both by hand and CAD
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite, Vectorworks and Adobe graphics programmes
- Demonstrable sound knowledge of the UK construction industry, contract administration, planning stages and legal framework
- Horticultural knowledge for planting design and specification
Desirable:
- Experience of working across multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience of working across multiple sectors, including residential
- Confidence in contract management
- Experience of delegating and quality assuring work of junior team members
Salary – from £32,500.00
