Job Description
LB Design Recruitment are working with a well established and busy architectural practice in Southampton. They specialise in residential projects for large national developers along with smaller regional developers across the UK. Working on projects ranging from 2000+ homes to medium rise mixed use new buildings and refurbishments, the team have a wealth of expertise.
Due to an increase in volume of new work, they are now seeking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist to join their team. As one of only a handful of practices serving the larger developers this is a great opportunity.
Role requirements:
- 5 + years of post-qualification experience working in a similar role in the UK.
- Experience working on UK residential projects is essential.
- Experience working with developers would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in operating AutoCAD is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Working on the production of working drawings.
- Checking third party design drawings for any technical issues.
- Liaising with building control / NHBC to discharge conditions etc.
- Producing external works and conveyance layouts to client briefs, including coordinating with civil engineers layouts etc.
- Taking a lead role in the running of projects, if required.
- Attending site visits and client meetings, if required.
