Job Description

We are currently representing a talented, award-winning practice based in Kettering that are actively looking for a Project Architect to join their team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a Project Architect to build and develop their career further within an inspiring, well-established practice.


The Project Architect will be working on a wide range of projects across a range of sectors, and will always have work on the go. Key sectors include Industrial, Commercial and Education. The practice also occasionally work within the Residential, Healthcare and Heritage sectors. Projects will vary from small alterations to large multi-million pound developments. The successful individual will be working as part of the team and independently within the practice, taking projects from planning drawings all the way through to completion stages.


Our client works on multi-million-pound projects and a large proportion of their workload is through recommendation or repeat business, which is why they pride themselves on their outstanding work. The office use Revit as a primary software so knowledge of the software is advantageous, however former use of any 3D software would be acceptable.


The successful individual will have the opportunity to communicate directly with clients, and have their say in projects design. This position will require someone who has had 3+ years’ experience as an Architect within the industry.


Project Architect Position Overview


  • Working on the day-to-day delivery of projects in collaboration with the team. You must therefore be able to demonstrate strong capabilities across RIBA stages 0-7
  • Production of planning and construction drawing packages – drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Management of the day-to-day delivery of projects, working in collaboration with the team
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local planning authorities and building control
  • Coordinating work by external consultants and internally with the rest of the team
  • Working within project teams and independently, where required


Project Architect Position Requirements


  • Chartered Architect (ARB registered).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience.
  • Able to work on projects from inception to completion (RIBA stages 0-7).
  • Extensive experience in preparing planning and working drawing construction packages and good knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy and quality standards.
  • Proven design and technical detailing capability, creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Revit or other 3D BIM software i.e. ArchiCAD or Vectorworks
